Maxine was highly recommended but we began to doubt whether we would ever catch up with her - her sloop was always out at sea! When we finally sat down to chat, we discovered that her personality as well as her boat made her so highly in demand. She was the first woman captain licensed in New York and one of few in St. Thomas. Her female crew and a gourmet lunch have also increased her popularity.

Aboard this classic yacht, you share your day with owner Captain Maxine (better known as Max). A lively Coast Guard licensed captain who's sailed professionally for twenty years, she's a delightful raconteur who likes to make people laugh. Her 41-foot sloop has all new snorkel gear (with complete instructions provided), a cushioned cockpit, open bar, full awning for shade, and a fleet of fun water toys. A luncheon feast is the crowning flourish to a thoroughly entertaining day. Says Captain Max: "Some people sail again just for the lunch."

We had a wonderful time. The crew was great, lunch was really good and healthy, and we really enjoyed the rum punch. Nice not having to be in the crowds when snorkeling.

| My wife and I had a great day with Max on her sailboat. We were away from all the passengers of 5 cruise ships that were in port that day, and we had the most peaceful, enjoyable day of our 7 day cruise. I would highly recommend using ShoreTrips. |

| This was our first experience with a non-cruiseline shore trip, so we were nervous about timing and logistics. We need not have been. We easily found our guide at the designated meeting place, and she was very conscientious about returning us with ample time to return to our ship. And our day was simply beyond perfect. We had only four "clients" and two crew aboard, so the ratio of crew to passenger was wonderful. We had room to roam and time to chat. Mother Nature served up a squall half way to St. John. Out came the rain gear, then out came a rainbow. Snorkeling was leisurely -- not at all like the thrashing group snarl of the usual tour boat variety. Our guides served up a yummy lunch so nicely presented with flowers on the plate that it would have taken pride of place in a "Sunset Magazine" article. We swapped tales, drank rum punch, laughed and teased our way back across the bay.(We told them that we were going to send in a feedback saying that we enjoyed the massages and pedicures...just so the next group would expect the same treatment.) In fact, we had such fun that we absolutely did NOT want to return to our cruise ship. And THAT is a first! |

Our day sailing was fantastic. It was so personal and they couldn't have made us feel any more comfortable (first time sailing for both of us). They are both entertaining and shared the island life and sailing life with us like we were friends stopping by for a visit. I have already recommended them to other friends headed to St Thomas. We love our cruise ship sailing, but we stopped booking excursions thru the ship several years ago and have never regretted it. We feel we get so much more out of our island visits booking directly with people who live there. HIGHLY recommend!!

| Captain Max delivers!!! Max and her first mate were great company and run an excellent tour. Our two teenagers had the best time. They sailed us to Christmas Cove near St John which was excellent snorkeling where we saw REALLY Large fish and beautiful coral. The sailboat is great and the homemade food was delicious. We ate it all! Her equipment is top notch and the treatment like long lost family. Will highly recommend her. |

| What a wonderful time we had!! We were greeted by Max and Julie as if we were family. We were there on a cruise with 448 parrot heads from all over the United States on a fundraiser for Breast Cancer. While in St. Thomas we decided to go on a different shore excursion that day than the group was doing. Boy did we pick the best of the best. The wonderful sailing...they sure are experts. The conversation...the sun....the snorkeling...we saw fish, turtles, stingrays, starfish. And the lunch, oh my, I know that you probably could have fed us anything and we would have eaten it, but what a lovely lunch they served. It was so delicious and just right for the end of a wonderful day with the friends we brought and the friends we made. We would definitely come to St. Thomas and do it again in a New York Minute (even though we are from Arizona). Max and Julie, you do a wonderful job of making it look so easy even though it isn't, and you made us feel like family. Thanks. See you next time we cross paths. And remember, Fins Up!! |

Captain Max was absolutely awesome. Our sail and snorkel with her was the best day of our cruise! I am not a snorkeler and had expected to stay on the boat while my husband snorkeled, but Max talked me into it and I am glad she did. She has great snorkeling equipment onboard which really made it an enjoyable experience. In addition to being an excellent sailor, she has a wonderful personality. We were very entertained. Lunch was also delicious.

| THIS WAS AN A++++++ EXPERIENCE. MAX AND HER FIRST MATE BRIT WERE INFORMATIVE, ENTERTAINING, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND MADE THIS DAY WONDERFUL. THEY PREPARED A BEAUTIFUL LUNCH WITH GREAT RUM PUNCH. THEY CATERED TO OUR EVERY NEED. MAX FOUND THE BEST SNORKELING SPOTS WHERE WE ENCOUNTERED STING RAYS OVER 7 FEET LONG, SQUID, AND FISH TO NUMEROUS TO MENTION. AS MY SON-IN-LAW STATED..."IT'S A GOOD THING WE DID THIS ON OUR LAST DAY, BECAUSE IF WE HAD DONE THIS ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE TRIP, THE OTHER TOURS WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISAPPOINTMENT AFTER THIS." | Just a note to let you know how much our family enjoyed our day sailing with Max! Even though Max was not there, it would be hard to imagine anyone nicer than her replacement. The scenery was amazing, the hospitality was superb, the lunch was great and a good time was had by all. I would recommend this trip to anyone. |

| We had a beautiful day. We got there early. Captain Max was there to pick us up punctually at 9 am. It was just my sisters and I. No one else had booked the boat that day. We sailed around St. John and snorkeled in two places. The lunch was very good and throwing the decorative flowers into the ocean afterwards was a nice touch. We had a wonderful time. They were very attentive hostess'. That said, my sister Deb was quite taken with the whole sailing thing and wants to learn how herself! We took other tours offered by the ship which were all too rushed. I will ALWAYS check with Shore Trips before I go anywhere because I would rather book through you. |

| Just to let you know the sailboat and snorkeling cruise we booked with you was the best time we had during our vacation. Maxine, and her shipmate, Stephanie, were wonderful hosts. They could not have made us feel any closer to being at home. The food was great, the snorkeling was great, and the ride was wonderful.
