One surprising thing about Alaska is that many of the activities that we offer in the Caribbean are the same, that is in the sense that we have jeeps that traverse dirt roads, fishing although it is for different species of fish, kayak but in the mangroves. But we have never seen these large canoes before and they are really fun!

Even the ride to Harriet Hunt Lake will be fun, as you see this charmingly rustic town and its outskirts as you travel. Of course, your guides will make certain you hear the true tales and legends of colorful Ketchikan as you move along into the huge national park to enjoy your canoe trip.
The canoe itself is an Indian-style canoe and holds up to 20 people, with 16 of them paddling. As you paddle around the lake, you will hear a different tune from your guide, one of native history and nature. These two forces have combined in Alaska to forge the true Alaskan legacy.
After your canoe ride, you will really get a sense of a camping experience as you gather round and in the geodesic dome set up for your comfort. Enjoy a snack of smoked salmon and clam chowder while you listen to information about some of the carnivorous vegetation growing around you.
Back to town to explore, on your own, the ins and outs of Creek Street.

KETCHIKAN...Bear |
| The rain forest canoe tour was wonderful! We had plenty of time to take in the sights and sounds of the rain forest and to see more of Ketchikan! The guide was knowledgable and kind, too. |
