This company was just what we were looking for - special trips in comfortable air conditioned vans with drivers united in the common goal of showing the best of their hometown. This company was named in memory of Rafael Buelna Tenorio, a general in the Mexican Revolution and the unity of the company is a revolutionary step in Mazatlan tourism.

The "heart and soul" of Mazatlan is its Old City. It was an important city in the early 17th century because of the nearby gold and silver mines. It took quite awhile and some enterprising German businessmen to develop the port in the mid-1800's.
Twenty years later, during the French intervention, Mazatlan was the stronghold of Mexican independence troops. By the end of the 19th century, this city had become the center of a large fishing industry and a thriving port involved with international trade, which included China and Japan. It still retains the title of the capital of the shrimping business.
The upper class life of the mid-19th century is apparent as you tour the Old City. The main plaza is centerpiece to a 20-block historic area that is in the midst of total resurgence and is lovely in its genuine representation of days gone by. Its most prized architectural jewel, the Angela Peralta Theater, sits nearby a square full of gardens and charming cafes. Several museums and notable cathedrals are located here as well. Your van will stop and your guide will take you on short walks to see some of these highlights.
From the historic district, you will take an amazing ride on a panoramic road along side the ocean. How often we travel to cities on the water where we can hardly see the view, but this ride is spectacular and you will be able to stop at meaningful monuments, as well as the site of the Cliffdivers, to take perfect souvenir photographs. You will just not believe the main avenue that runs along the beach, dotted with monuments recognizing notable events.
Of course, your tour will take you to the Golden Area, the newer, commercial section of Mazatlan. You will travel to their beautiful new marina and a lovely residential area before completing your tour.
Your guide will give you the option returning you to the cruise ship pier or lunching in town at your expense before your return.

This smart city, in attracting tourists, passed a requirement that every vehicle used in the tourism industry must not be older than 5 years. Inside this vehicle, you will always find a cooler of bottled water and beer for your enjoyment.

Raul was superb - very good English speaking, funny, and gave us a good insight into living in this beautiful city. Gave us tips on where to eat, shop, etc., and was very willing to accomodate any special requests along the way. We've used ShoreTrips in other ports instead of the Cruise ship excursions and always been pleased with the individual attention and lack of crowds where we've stopped. You're guides are top notch in every way!

Arturo Homey Marin "made" our port visit to Mazatlan one of the BEST! He catered to our small group of 8 people, by going out of his way to welcome us to his city. Homey was very knowledgeable and made numerous stops for photos, stories, shopping, and even bought a round of drinks at his favorite restaurant on the beach. He personalized the tour...his stories and sense of humor were commendable! He was, by far, one of the most superb guides I have known. He obviously loves his job. I highly recommend this tour.

Raul was our driver/guide for our time in Mazatlan. This company really impressed me. They met us right at the cruise ship terminal with a very clean van and Raul. His English was wonderful and he wanted to know if there was anything in particular that we wanted to see or do. We went to the Old City and to the Golden Zone as well as up into the hills for some great views of the area. Along the way was asked to stop and do some shopping for locally made items. He took us to some great places and none of them was full of cruise passengers. What a beautiful city Mazatlan is and what a great day we had with Raul! We only wished that we’d had more time with him.
