Please read this page prior to purchasing a ShoreTrip. Stipulations (for non-group bookings) Everyone involved in the selling, purchasing and performing these shore excursions are trusted by each other to act fairly. ShoreTrips trusts that the consumer and his agent choose accurately, and that they have checked the ship’s itinerary with that of the tours. That they have checked dates, locations and times prior to guaranteeing the purchase. This means that the passenger or agency should check the itineraries prior to entering the cancellation penalty period, which is 10 days (14 days for Europe ShoreTrips) prior to the trip date. ShoreTrips are not considered ‘booked’ until the purchaser agrees to these stipulations. Nor are they booked until the vendor confirms the request. Nor are they booked until the payment procedures have been satisfactorily carried out. Credit card charges are entered immediately after the vendor confirms the requested trip. ShoreTrips will allow fully refundable cancellations, by the traveler or the agency, prior to 10 days (14 days for Europe and South America ShoreTrips) from the day of the trip. At 10 days (14 days for Europe and South America ShoreTrips) outbound, ShoreTrips will not allow any refund of payments except if conditions make it impossible for the ship to dock and disembark passengers in a timely manner, or if your flight is delayed or cancelled, or if the vendor must cancel due to equipment or weather problems. Your cruise ship and its employees and agents do not have the authority to cancel ShoreTrips. The passenger must notify ShoreTrips within 12 days after the ShoreTrip date that a problem occurred. The notification must be in writing. Emails and faxes will be accepted. Group bookings may be non-refundable if the trip price is based on a specific number of participants. Custom designed bookings will always have a $25 per person non-refundable penalty for cancellations made at any time after the booking has been confirmed and the credit card charged. ShoreTrips trusts that this display of shore excursions is accurate. We have sent each description to the tour operator for accuracy checks. Liability for Loss or Injury: ShoreTrips has no liability because ShoreTrips is only a booking agent. Customers acknowledge, understand and agree that as a condition of ShoreTrips accepting a booking from the customer that ShoreTrips shall not be liable for any loss or injury incurred by the customer. Our customers agree to make appropriate claims with our vendors. ShoreTrips is responsible for refunds as indicated in this agreement. We trust that the tour operator performs adequately and delivers to the passenger the highest level of professionalism. The purchaser agrees that ShoreTrips reserves the right to make changes to an activity. Sometimes ShoreTrips and its vendors must make last minute changes. For example, we might have to substitute a boat when, at the last minute, the original boat becomes inoperable or unavailable. If you find that the change is not acceptable, please refrain from taking the trip for we can not make refunds once you agree to the change. And please understand that we make these changes only with your best interest in mind. Customers who dispute a ShoreTrips credit card charge by filing chargeback notice with their credit card companies will be charged a $25 administrative fee (per chargeback notice) by ShoreTrips if the chargeback is ruled in the favor of ShoreTrips by the financial institution. Trip cancellation insurance is available and is highly recommended. If the purchaser already carries this type of insurance, he is directed to contact the insurance company to add in the coverage of these trips. The purchaser has read these stipulations and agrees with them. |
