This tour has options for everyone. You can choose to paddle a kayak or a paddle bike through the mangroves on a guided tour. If you prefer, you can take a guided walk among the palm groves, followed by a walk over the natural bridge that winds through the mangroves. This leads to a lovely secluded beach where those on the paddling trips complete their journey.
Nature and man have come together to create a most beautiful display of nature and from the very start of your day you will know just what we mean. It is a fact that your transfer to the beginning of your tour should be considered part one and in this case, you will travel through the rainforest and pass colorful fishing villages on your way to the start of your kayak trip.
Exiting your vehicle, you will see before you one of the most picturesque mangroves, so much so that it appears to be manicured. Colorful kayaks and paddle bikes to one side and the other direction has a very natural bridge leading into the mangroves.
A short introduction and instruction period begins the tour and once comfortable, you will head in this pristine water environment that sits on the water's surface. The mangroves are home to birds, aquatic creatures, and also act as a nursery for plants and play an important part of the ecosystem on this and many other islands. Your guide knows all of the relationships between man and nature and will share that information as you glide along the water.
For those not daring to paddle, we will take you on an unusual but exquisite boardwalk built into the mangroves. Your experience on foot is much like the one the paddlers are having.
After we reconnect at the beach you will enjoy a visit to Cades Reef by boat for snorkeling. Take time to relax on the beach at a secluded location. You complete this portion on a secluded beach loaded with beach chairs. Swim, snorkel, or just relax while you wait for the paddlers to return.
We have visited 38 Caribbean islands and never have we seen such a magnificent and inviting location - it blew us away!
