Top off your amazing day in St. Petersburg with a performance at one of the city's many renowned theaters.
Arguably one of the most famous theaters in all of Russia, the Mariinsky Theatre is associated with performances of operas by such great Russian composers as Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, and others, as well as foreign composers.
There is also the Mikhailovsky Opera House, St. Petersburg’s second largest musical stage. Its repertoire includes classic ballets such as Giselle, Les Sylphides, Swan Lake, and Cinderella, and operas like Prince Igor, La Traviata, Carmen, and The Barber of Seville.
Additionally, there may be a performance at the Hermitage Theatre, one of the buildings of the Hermitage Museum, which was built by order of Catherine the Great. The ballet repertoire includes performances of Giselle and Swan Lake. Also in the Hermitage Theatre, there are evenings of gala concerts, including fragments of world-known ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Raymonda, La Sylphide, La Esmeralda, La Corsaire, Don Quixote, Carmen, and many others.
And, of course, there is the Alexandrinsky Theatre, also called the Pushkin Drama Theatre. One of the leading drama theatres in the city, the company tours during the summer and generously gives their stage to one of the classic ballet troupes of all time. Here, you can see the most famous ballets of Piotr Tchaikovsky--Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, or Sleeping Beauty.
There are also numerous options that may be available for opera performances.
We will inform you of the specific performances that are available during your visit when your Ticket Request Fee is confirmed.
