FULL DAY DREAM SAIL FOR WATER LOVERS

FULL DAY DREAM SAIL FOR WATER LOVERS
ShoreTrips says...
By the end of the day, you will want to move to Key West and buy a sailboat!
You can be passive or chip right in and help raise the sails on this 65 foot traditional-style schooner. This happy captain and crew love what they do and they'll share their excitement with you. The beauty of the warm tropical waters surrounding Key West is the main attraction on this adventure. This is perfect if you are looking for a day away from crowds and noise as the sounds that envelope you will be coming from the wind, the waves, and the wildlife.
You will sail through the shallow waters of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge, surely spotting a variety of birds and wildlife. You made the wise decision to stay on board for the full day, allowing you to take in the beautiful scenery around you as the sun reflects off the water's surface. This crew feels that they help make time stand still as they take you back to a period when relaxing was not an art but part of every day, so enjoy a conversation about the historical charts on board between naps.
When it's time, you will have a refresher in kayaking, if needed, although the kayaks provided are very stable sea kayaks that will take you minutes to learn after a few simple instructions from your guide. Your snorkeling will take place in secluded lush sponge gardens or isolated boulder and coral patch reefs. The topography here allows great visibility and very calm seas during your snorkel. The full day allows you to go further into the ecosystem and find some dramatic marine life.
If the weather permits, you will make a stop at an island with a beach or sandbar so you can really experience the Florida Keys ecosystem. A full lunch is provided and you can stretch out and relax while enjoying some curried chicken, tuna, and pasta salad, along with a selection of deli meats and cheeses. Beverages include just about anything you can think of.
