For some of you fishing isn't anything more than a brief memory of your Snoopy fishing pole and a can of corn as bait. For others it is one of your favorite hobbies and the perfect reason to get up for an early morning. Either way, no matter if you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, most people will agree that Alaska is home to some of the best fishing in the world.

With everything you need already prepared, your local captain will take you to the best fishing spots off the shores of Icy Strait. Whether you are looking for Salmon or Halibut, this is the perfect opportunity to live the authentic Alaskan fishing experience. Grab a pole!

You are able to have your catch cleaned, processed and shipped through a local fish company. Feel free to discuss this with your captain on the day of the charter.

Special Instructions

• The bag and possession limit is one King salmon, 28 inches or greater in length.
• From January 1 through June 30, the total harvest limit is three king salmon;
• From July 1 through July 7, the total harvest limit is two King salmon, any King salmon harvested from January 1 through June 30 will apply toward the two fish total harvest limit;
• From July 8 through December 31, the total harvest limit is one King salmon. Any King salmon harvested from January 1 through July 7 will apply toward the one fish total harvest limit.
• Immediately upon landing and retaining a King salmon, the fisherman must enter the species, date, and location, in ink, on the back of his/her sport fishing license or on a nontransferable harvest record.
• Fish can be shipped can be processed and shipped home at your expense and will be discussed with the fishing captain on the day of the tour.
• Depending on where your ship is docked, it will be either about a 5-minute walk to the meeting location or a gondola ride (possible additional cost), followed by a 5-minute walk to the meeting location. Hotel guests will need to find their own way to the meeting location. Specific instructions will appear on your voucher.


• This program fills up very fast so we recommend you book as early as possible. This is a shared fishing program where you will be placed with other travelers.
• Anyone under the age of 13 must fish with adult assistance.
This excursion requires a minimum of 3 passengers. We will do our best to combine you with other travelers. Maximum that can be accepted is 6.
Each person over the age of 16 is required to purchase a $25 fishing license with an additional $15 charge for the king salmon stamp. You will pay these fees directly to the boat captain in cash.
