EXPLORATION OF CHIANG RAI PROVINCE

EXPLORATION OF CHIANG RAI PROVINCE
ShoreTrips says...
Chiang Rai is home to some of the most stunning views in Thailand. Gorgeous temples, dramatic mountains, shimmering flood plains and a diverse population of locals makes this province worth visiting.
We begin our journey with a scenic drive to Chiang Rai. When we arrive, we'll explore Wat Rong Khun - the stunningly beautiful and stark white temple. This famous temple was built in 1997 and was designed using white material, giving it a modern and unique twist on a classic design.
Continuing on, we'll visit several tribal villages that dot the hills in the Chiang Rai Province. Then we'll explore the Golden Triangle, the location where the borders of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand meet. Your guide with dive into the history of the Golden Triangle, notorious during most of the 20th century for being the world’s biggest grower of the poppy flower that produces opium.
Our final stop is Mae Sai, the Myanmar border known for its large open-air market. After admiring what the market has to offer, we'll return to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
