This then started the monument and serves as a way to pay tribute to the marine mammals who are believed to protect the shore and save drowning sailors and fishermen. Before heading back to the pier your final stop will be at Bach Dinh or "The White Villa." This building alone will demonstrate to you why past Vietnamese rulers and French governors had such a strong attraction to the town of Vung Tau.
