Cozumel has gorgeous beaches, great reefs, good food, and both paved and very bumpy dirt roads. There is no better way to travel around the island than in a hardy vehicle like a Jeep. Hang onto your hat as you enjoy the bumps and more bumps of the roads while traveling through the island exploring the sights and sounds of Cozumel Town, gaining real insight on local life here. Continuing on through the island's most scenic roads showing off incredible views, you will easily see the draw of island life whether you are a driver or a smiling passenger.

Your professional guide will make stops along the way and at that time you can trade places with others in your Jeep, sharing the roles of driver and passenger. Your ride to Punta Sur State Refuge Park is the culmination of a long sandy road and your arrival brings you to a stunning white sand beach with reef for drift snorkeling and crystal clear water. But first you will visit El Caracol, a small ancient Mayan ruin. Enjoy some photo opts before moving on to the Columbia Lagoon, which offers an opportunity to see the ecosystem that balances the sustenance and growth of this reef system. You might spot some saltwater crocodiles living in this natural habitat from the observation tower that overlooks the lagoon.

You will receive snorkel gear once you arrive at the white sand beach. This protected area provides wonderful opportunity for a beach snorkel or swim as the reefs are prolific and the water quite shallow. Abundant tropical fish and marine life are easily found just under the water's surface. If you prefer to relax on the beach, that is your option as well.

No doubt you are ready for sustenance yourself, so lunch is the next stop. Brake for a beach break at this exclusive beach resort to enjoy a delicious Mexican lunch with a view of the sea. Plenty of time for digestion before you gather your things and get going, this time to visit the Punta Celarain Lighthouse, which you can climb for a magnificent view of the Caribbean. You can also visit the Navigation Museum featured inside the building.

And now, the best for last. You can't leave Mexico without learning, and tasting, some local tequila! As this is your last stop, you can feel comfortable knowing that your driving time is about over and your tasting will not impact your way back to the starting point. After a full and entertaining day on Cozumel, you can feel very accomplished.
