Cruise through the Pedro Miguel Locks and Miraflores Locks on a comfortable and scenic ferry! Experience the serene landscape of the Panama Canal with a narrator on board. You don’t miss any of the beautiful landmarks or wildlife. Your journey may look a bit different whether you’re going northbound or southbound, but both journeys are sure to please.
After getting picked up at your hotel, enjoy a short ride to the marina to board your day cruiser. Depending on which direction you’re travelling, you’ll pass under the bridge of Americas which raises over 100 meters above sea level.
When you reach your first set of locks, the ship will raise 17 meters in two different steps which will move the ship from saltwater to fresh water. As your guide tells you more interesting stories and facts about the construction of the Panama Canal, relax with lunch before the ship raises another 9 meters into Gatun Lake.
Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife during this section of your cruise. Colorful birds and primates often reside around Gatun Lake!
