Get down and dirty on this adventure. It is real off-roading.
It is an easy trip from your pickup location to the beginning of this adventure. In your open safari-style trucks, your drive will be about 30 minutes or so, depending on the location of your starting point. Once you arrive you will be given safety instructions until you are comfortable on your machine.
Then - get ready to roll as you begin your safari-style ride moving through the remote farmland in the northern part of Punta Cana. As you pass palm trees and tobacco plantations you will note the Oriental Mountain Range deep in the background. For most of your ride you will be on narrow secluded country roads which will give you a cushion of comfort knowing you are safe and able to relax while driving. But be warned - expect to get dirty!
Thoroughly ready to move forward, head into the rocky off-road portion of the tour. The panoramic views of rolling hills, thick vegetation, and distant mountains set a stage for the next experience. You will drive right up to a unusual setting with the focal point, a cave. Here you will find relief from the ride, the heat and the dirt when you explore the cenote cave. Enjoying this cool cleansing swim will feel especially great since you have earned it with your mighty and dirty riding. Jump in! Water never felt this good!
After your refreshing dip, you will drive yourself to the ranch where you can clean up a bit to remove any lingering mud. You have arrived at a country ranch where some locals will introduce you to produce that is common to the area.
Cocoa, coffee, and tobacco are the products that really are in demand and the quality grown in this soil do produce an in-demand audience. Listen, learn, ask and taste - those are the ways to hear about the culture and the life here. And enjoy some of the tropical fruits as well.
Heading back to where you began will be a satisfying end - you have really received your money's worth of off-road driving.

• It is mandatory that you wear your helmet.
• The vehicles are all automatic.
• We suggest you bring a towel, water bottle, insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses or goggles, hat and a bandana to cover your mouth and nose during the ride. All can be stashed in your backpack.
• You may want to buy some local products or photographs so please bring some money or a credit card.
• Your total time driving is a little over one hour, broken up by stops.
• We do recommend that you bring water and snacks especially if you are traveling with children. Some will be for sale at the ranch.
Restrictions
• The maximum weight is 350 lbs.
• Children must be 6 years old to participate in this excursion. The Terracross has seatbelts for up to 4 people.
• This experience is not recommended for people with limited mobility or pregnant women.
• If you have had back issues or a recent surgery, you should not participate in this excursion.
• You will be required to sign a waiver.
• La Romana Resorts: There is an additional transportation fee to be paid directly to the driver when staying at any resort in La Romana or a comparable distance. Please be prepared to pay the driver $15 per person additional for a roundtrip transfer.
