Your journey begins as you traverse the beautiful Dalmatian coastline on your way to the Village of Orasac. Gaze upon the Adriatic sea as you escape the crowds and approach a less traveled but charming town to the Northwest of Dubrovnik. Nestled in the Croation hills, Orasac's natural beauty and local entertainment will have you wishing this "simple" village could be called your home. While in Orasac you will take part in the production of olive oil in the old fashioned way where the mill is driven by a horse and processed with bare hands. Taste the fruits of your labor as you enjoy other snacks including home-made cheese, smoked ham and local wine.

With happy taste buds you will make your way back to Dubrovnik's old town for a walking tour of its inspiring highlights. Arrive at the Pile Gate, where you will be enter the walled city at the beginning of its famous main street - the Stradun. It runs straight across the old town and its limestone surface has been buffed to a slippery polish by the thousands of feet that have walked it. You will find this part quite uniform in the design and color of the houses, as the rules of construction required this after the earthquake in 1667.

During your walk you will see and hear about Onofrio's Large Fountain of 1444 and the small St. Saviour's Church, a simple Renaissance structure that influenced other church design. From the church you will take a narrow passageway to the Franciscan Monastery complex with its attached museum.

Throughout your tour your guide will share stories of what the city was like during the war of 1991-1992, as you will find little that reminds you of that difficult time.
