Escape the crowds of Dubrovnik, and explore the surrounding coast, stopping at picturesque towns and villages such as Cavtat and Konavle. Along with beautiful views, you will learn the history of the region, from the days of the Celts and Illyrian times to the present day. Our first stop is to the most important fortress during the time of the Dubrovnik Republic, Falcon Fortress. Surrounded by mountains, the views are panoramic, and the history is preserved. See the guard houses as well as medieval weapons and more.

Continuing on, we are headed to Konavle, and will pass the River Ljuta. The river flows through fields and farms, and this network of water and stamp mills has been in tact for nearly 400 years. We will make a stop along the way and you will see a demonstration of this process.

As the morning turns to afternoon we will enjoy a short walking tour of Cavtat, located on the coast. Here, we will make a well deserved stop for refreshments including ham, cheeses, as well as local wines and liquors.
