Begin with a scenic drive to Nicosia, the largest city in Cyprus and also its capital. Nicosia's visitors enjoy Cyprus' past and present as it's a place that's rich in history, but also with many modern elements.

We'll visit the Archaeological Museum with its priceless and fascinating collection of Cypriot antiques and treasures from the Neolithic Age to the Early Byzantine period. Originally built in 1908 as a tribute to Queen Victoria, this museum has an international reputation for its excellent collection dating all the way back to the Neolithic period. There are artifacts from practically every major civilization here, a testament to Cyprus' importance in past days.

We'll also pass by the Famagusta gate as you come to the Archbishops Palace and the St. John's Cathedral. Built in 1662 by Archbishop Nikiforos and dedicated to Saint John the Theologian, this cathedral is famed for its iconostasis of gold-leaf covered wood and majestic double-headed eagles.

We'll then continue to the Green Lines which divides the city.

Ample time will be given for lunch, shopping and strolling. We'll also go around Laiki Yeitonia, one of the best-preserved historic areas of the city. It is pedestrian-only and filled with traditional houses, shops, and winding alleyways, which have been restored as typical examples of native Cypriot urban architecture.

After a fun day exploring Nicosia you can relax as you are driven back to Larnaca and pier.
