Visit the famous American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer with its stark white gravestones, a truly moving experience.
You'll also see the museum and amazing artificial military harbours at Port Winston at Arromanches, Omaha Beach (the principal landing site of American forces), the impressive German battery at Longues sur Mer, and the battleground, memorial, and museum at Pointe du Hoc.
Your tour can also include the peace memorial at Caen with its inspiring World War II history exhibits and artifacts, (entrance fee of €18.80 payable upon arrival), or a visit to the historic and scenic town of Bayeux and the fascinating 10th century Bayeux Tapestry.
