The underwater landscape is exceptional here with its walls, reefs, and wrecks dotting the area around the island. You may choose to snorkel in several different locations or, perhaps, your dream is to beach hop, sampling not only beaches (like the famous Red Beach), but also some restaurants that are not reachable by car.
Are you planning to climb to the crater's edge of Santorini's volcano? The staging area is a beach accessible only by boat. Instead of joining a bunch of people cramped into a tourist boat, you can direct your captain to take you there...and then have him take you 15 minutes over the water to the fabulous hot springs.
