From the comfort of your private vehicle, enjoy the 2 1/2-hour ride through the scenic, lake-filled state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. After arrival in Berlin, your expert guide will bring the city and its vivid history to life, as you experience Berlin's many "must-see" sights. Berlin has many layers of dynamic history and you will experience its medieval origins, its Prussian and Nazi past, its legacy as a divided city, and the constant change that is New Berlin.
This tour is designed for those who must use motorized or mechanical equipment in travel and wish to enjoy a whirlwind visit to Berlin's must-see sights or a topic tour.
You will be met by your driver who will take you through the countryside of Germany and bring you to Berlin, where you'll meet your personal guide. Your guide will be a real character of the city, someone who studied history or architecture, has years of experience in guiding, and is eager to show you his hometown in a vivid and in-depth conversation.
If there is something specific you would like to see or a part of history you are keen to learn more about, please let us know beforehand or tell your guide upon your arrival. Your guide will organize the lunch break according to your wishes, please let him know when you arrive.
Our tour begins with a drive through the East of Berlin, where you will stop at the Berlin Wall Memorial to see some remaining parts of the Wall. You will drive along the famous Boulevard Unter den Linden, see the Victory column in Tiergarten and the old Prussian buildings and palaces. You will have a look at the new governmental district, learn about the Reichtag (German Parliament) and the Brandenburg Gate, the quintessential symbol of Berlin, built in 1789.
We will have a close look at Berlin’s Nazi history starting at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe (Holocaust Memorial). This somber spot occupies a space the size of a football field. We will continue at the site of Hitler’s former bunker, the old SS, SA, and Gestapo headquarters (Topography of Terror’s site) and Göring’s former ministry of Aviation.
You will turn to Potsdamer Platz and experience the innovative state-of-the-art architecture of Berlin’s sole skyscrapers, which transformed the skyline of an area that was bombed during World War II, and lay desolate just west of the Berlin Wall for the entire period of the city’s division, before you’ll pass by Checkpoint Charlie you will have a look at the Gendarmenmarkt, one of the most beautiful places in Berlin.
You will see Alexanderplatz and the Berlin TV Tower, which was built by the East German government from 1965-1969. If you would like to drive to West Berlin along the Kurfürstendamm, Berlin’s answer to Paris’ Champs Elysée or see Charlottenburg Palace, please let your guide know at the beginning of the tour.
Remember, your guide’s aim is to make your tour as pleasurable and comfortable as possible. Ask as many questions as you like, stop for coffee whenever you please, and prepare to discover Berlin’s many secrets at your own pace!

• If you use a scooter you are legally required to transfer to a seat. If you use a mechanical or electronic wheelchair, you may stay in your equipment in the vehicle.
• If you would like to drive to West Berlin along the Kurfürstendamm, Berlin’s answer to Paris’ Champs Elysée or see Charlottenburg Palace, please let your guide know at the beginning of the tour.
Restrictions
• Your driver will speak little to no English. We do provide a way to communicate during your ride. Once you arrive into Berlin, you will meet your English-speaking guide.
• Lunch is not included in the price of this tour. Please talk with your guide about lunch recommendations. If you wish to have lunch at the Reichstag, you must notify us ahead of time. By having lunch at the Reichstag, you must also furnish all of your passport information when the booking is made, bring your passport along with you on the tour and pay a minimum of €40 per person for lunch. These are all required by the Reichstag itself, no exceptions.
