Pairing a jeep ride with a beach stop is the perfect Caribbean combination. Meet your experienced guide to start and get comfortable in your seat in your 6-passenger jeep. A few words before taking off, literally, will give you a sense of your adventure to come and then bingo, you are on your way. As you bump along the streets of the island, you will find pleasure in stopping to see some of the sights that give history to your location. Among those are the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle as well as The Government House.

Often missed by many, The Caves will be included in your itinerary. It was here that the Lucayan Indians found safe haven from weather, heat, pirates, and the Spanish - which depended on when. This interesting stop will give depth to the history of the island as will your visit to Gambier. Gambier Historical Village was one of the oldest villages in New Providence, dating back to the early 1800s. It is located nine miles west of Nassau and was established by liberated Africans after the abolition of the slave trade in all British Territories in 1807. Some of those Africans left an indelible stamp on the village's unique and intriguing history. Most notable was Elijah Morris who lead the largest slave revolt in the United States history in 1841.

Finally, full of history, you will arrive at Saunders beach for a little swim and relaxation. Plenty of time to relax before redirecting your attention to lunch, which is part of your excursion. Heading back towards town, you arrive at the oldest known Bahamian owned restaurants for a luscious local lunch with a beverage.
