POPOI'A ISLAND GUIDED KAYAK AND SNORKEL
This is the perfect adventure combo for those who don't have much experience paddling. With the help of our expert local guides you'll not only enjoy this kayak trip, but you will learn all about what makes the Hawaiian ecosystem so special. After a brief safety orientation, we'll take off from Kailua Bay, where the ocean is usually calm and crystal clear.
The first leg of our journey is to Popoia Island which is located approximately 1/4 mile off the shore. This will prove the perfect distance so that you can get in the groove of paddling. Popoia Island is also known as the flat island and you will know why once you see it! This unique geographical phenomenon attracts a rare species of endangered sea birds. Don't forget your camera, you're going to want to capture this!
We'll take some time to explore the island and your guide will tell you all about the history and geology of the area. Cool off with a dip in the water, put on your snorkel gear and catch a glimpse of the Hawaiian underwater world. You can expect sea turtles as well as an array of tropical fish. We'll find the perfect place to enjoy a Hawaiian style picnic lunch before embarking on our return paddle.
On our return we'll take a different route back to Kailua Beach, this time paddling for approximately 3/4 of a mile. This is truly a day to remember.

• We suggest you bring your wallet as there is a souvenir shop located at the main office for kayaking.
• We suggest you bring water proof sun screen with you. You will want to reapply throughout the duration of this tour. You may want to wear a sun hat and sun glasses as it can get very hot on the water.
• We suggest you wear water proof shoes or sandals that will dry quickly when wet. If you do not have appropriate footwear, you will have the option to rent (or purchase) proper shoes prior to disembarkation.

• Of the total tour duration, you will spend approximately 2.5 hours on the water and 2 hours at the beach.
