ShoreTrips says...
Many visitors don't consider snorkeling to be a top priority in Puerto Vallarta, but the wildlife sanctuary is exquisite and flourishing, both under the water and above.
The Marietas Islands, also known as the Mexican Galapagos, are one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in Mexico’s Pacific coast and one of the country's national parks. These beautiful islands of volcanic origin are full of innumerable caves carved by time and water--a true snorkeler's paradise!
Under the azure crystalline waters, multi-colored fish, manta rays, eels, turtles, soft corals, and urchins can be encountered.
On land, life is equally abundant. The islands offer sanctuary for a great number of sea birds, including cormorants, frigates, brown boobies, and the ever-graceful blue-footed boobies.
Along the way, we'll provide you with a delicious lunch that includes a baguette sandwich, granola bar, sodas, bottled water, and juice.
