Beginning with a pickup at the cruise ship pier, your private driver/guide will introduce you to the capital of Nova Scotia. With interesting architecture (make sure you check out the Halifax Central Library) and lovely parks, this city is a delight.

Sites include the Hydrostone District, which was the government's efforts to rebuild the north end of Halifax after the famous, devastating Halifax Explosion, which occurred in 1917. Your guide will tell you all about this tragic event which altered the course of Halifax's history and forever forged a bond with the people of Boston.

Haligonians are proud of their Victorian garden, recognized as a National Historical Site in 1984. One of the best preserved Victorian gardens in North America, it is filled with flowers, walking paths, a lagoon, a band shell and intricate wrought iron gates.

The Citadel, located high on a hill overlooking the city is now a great spot to get a view of the city. That same hill provided the perfect location for defending the city from attack. Take a step back in time as you climb the hill and explore the role the Citadel played in Halifax's military past.

Fisherman's Cove, Dartmouth (known as the City of Lakes), 2 of the city's famous churches and a visit to the harbor round out this comprehensive tour.

There will be photo stops along the route to help you remember your visit to Halifax.
