ShoreTrips says...

This is a transfer that is more like a tour, as you'll see wonderful sights along the way and stop to stretch your legs at really cool places. Your bags are stashed for the day and you will be entertained all along the way!

Bring your luggage and hop aboard! We've got complimentary beverages and snacks waiting for you. During our scenic drive down the Turnagain Arm, your guide will point out possible wildlife such as sheep, mountain goats, beluga whales, and eagles along the way. We’ll make a photo stop at the famous Beluga Point for some beautiful views and a great backdrop for stunning photography!

Next, visit the quaint town of Girdwood for the aerial tram ride up the longest double black diamond ski slope in North America. From the top, you can view several glaciers, the northern-most temperate rainforest, and, on select days, visit the Roundhouse Museum. This museum is perched on the mountainside and surrounded by one continuous viewing deck for your pleasure.

After descending the tram, we’ll stop for lunch (included) at our favorite Bake Shop for bottomless homemade soup, sourdough bread, beverages, and dessert. Next, visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, located on 140 acres at the southern edge of Turnagain Arm. AWCC provides care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife, as well as wildlife education and awareness. Animals that are unable to survive in the wild are given refuge in the center's spacious habitats. Here, people can safely get close, observe, and photograph some of Alaska's largest land animals, including moose, bison, elk, deer, caribou, bear, musk ox, small mammals, and birds of prey.

Lastly, we'll stop at Exit Glacier. An eight mile drive off the main road reveals a spectacular vantage point, and a short, easy walk provides a close-up and personal view of a magnificent glacier. This will give you a “real Alaska” experience! Upon arrival in Seward, at approximately 4 p.m., you'll be transferred directly to your cruise ship and helped with off-loading of your luggage, or you may be dropped off at your hotel in Seward.
