ShoreTrips says...

Walk in the woods through Alaska’s largest city, and let the fresh air spark your curiosity!

You don't have to leave Anchorage city limits to experience the rich ecology of Alaska. This half day naturalist led tour explores Anchorage's natural treasures. Our first stop will be to Alaska Botanical Garden's. Here, we'll take a guided walk through the boreal forest trails with a licensed naturalist.

Then, we'll take a look into the fish that shape Anchorage's ecosystem at the William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery. We'll finish off the tour with a chance to observe birds and plant species in an estuary bordering Cook Inlet in the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge.

During the tour, we'll activate all of our senses with sustainably-harvested wild Alaskan Chaga tea and Alaskan salmon jerky in the fragrant gardens. Enjoy complimentary snacks and glacier water while you ride in comfort through Anchorage’s green belt.
