In 2022, ALL guests will be required to show proof of corona virus vaccination to board this tour boat. No refunds will be made if you do not have proof of covid vaccination. Per the federal mandate, masks must be worn while in the enclosed area of the vessel and motor transportation, with the exception of a brief period of time when eating our snack or drinking a beverage while on the water. Masks may also be removed on the outside deck of the boats, but we ask all guests to be aware of social distancing with other passengers not traveling in their own party.
Join us at our dock in Ward Cove, where you’ll board your tour vessel, either the Lighthouse Endeavor or the Totem Princess. Once underway, your local Alaskan captain and their crew will share Southeast Alaska’s coastal history, native culture, and natural beauty as you journey into Ketchikan’s wild seascape on a wildlife-viewing cruise, with guaranteed sightings of American bald eagles and their nests.
Sip a hot chocolate or freshly-brewed coffee, and relax in the heated main cabin or explore the open-air observation deck as we begin our cruise along the coastline of Ketchikan’s home island of Revillagigedo. Soak in the beauty of the Tongass National Forest, the world’s largest temperate rainforest, and learn about Alaska's interconnected ecosystems and the animals that call this region home. We'll bring you views of Totem Bight State Park, home to an Alaska Native clan house and a collection of 14 towering Tlingit and Haida hand-carved, cedar totem poles. Enjoy a complimentary sampler plate of Alaskan delicacies, including our signature smoked salmon dip, on your way to Guard Island Lighthouse. Once there, take in the panoramic, mountainous seascape surrounding Guard Island, while you photograph the first lighthouse to be built in Alaska, which was completed in 1904 and is still in operation today.
Additional points of interest include remnants of the Ketchikan Pulp Mill and the oldest working fish cannery in Alaska, unique coastal homes (some on their own island!), Refuge Cove and its outlying islands, and the old-growth forest on our neighboring Gravina Island. Keep on the lookout for bald eagles, harbor seals, sea lions, moon jellyfish, humpback and orca whales, deer, pigeon guillemots, blue heron, and other seabirds.
With an array of Ketchikan attractions, we suggest you keep your camera in easy reach! Our deckhands are also happy to take photos of you in front of the lighthouse or totem park, or you can pose with your captain for a memorable photo in the wheelhouse.
