HALF DAY SALMON FISHING
HALF DAY SALMON FISHING
ShoreTrips says...
This company has been in operation for over 20 seasons and has provided first-rate service to more than 5,000 fishermen (fisherwomen, too!) and 5,000 sightseeing clients. Salmon, halibut, snapper, cod, shark, and many other species abound in the waters of S.E. Alaska--and photo opportunities for wildlife are endless.
Ketchikan is the "Salmon Capital of the World" and it lives up to its title every year!
Your half-day adventure begins when you're greeted up at the cruise ship pier, and escorted to your charted vessel which is located just a short walk away. Your skipper, who has 20+ years experience fishing the famous waters around Ketchikan, will take you out in his 6-passenger boat to where both the fishing and sightseeing are excellent.
Your guide is well-acquainted with the whereabouts of the local fish population and his boat-- which features a heated, enclosed cabin and restroom facilities--is outfitted with the perfect equipment for serious fishing. Of course, we'll supply all of the tackle for this awesome expedition.
The captain says "Fish in May and June for king salmon, July and August for pinks, August and September for coho and June and July for chums!"
