There are two things Ketchikan, Alaska is most famous for and this tour will bring you to both of them - the Saxman Native Village and all the delicious Dungeness Crab you can get your hands on! First you will take a trip to Saxman Native Village, where you will visit a master carving shed and have the opportunity to photograph an amazing collection of totem poles and the largest clan house in Southeast Alaska. There are 29 authentic totems in all, carved by Tlingit and Haida natives and transported from their original sites in the 30's, since restored by native carvers. Photography and video cameras are welcomed. You'll even get a chance to visit the gift shop as there are many authentic Ketchikan or Alaskan made souvenirs. From there, you will embark on a scenic coastal drive around Mountain Point to George Inlet Lodge, where you will be treated to a scrumptious, all you can eat crab feast.

You will arrive hungry we hope, as you enter the warmth and old elegance of a traditional north woods lodge. Your meal will begin with a fresh romaine salad, topped with mandarin oranges and tossed in homemade Asian dressing. Steaming hot Dungeness Crab paired with clarified butter and baby red potatoes follow as the main course. Savor this Alaskan delicacy that is prized for its sweet and tender meat but save room for dessert. Rich, smooth cheesecake, smothered in Alaskan blueberries will be a perfect ending to this world class meal! Soft drinks, coffee, water and tea are all complimentary. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Enjoy this very local treat in an authentic setting before returning to reality.
