ShoreTrips says...

You came to Alaska to find its rare, raw natural beauty. This combo tour offers activity without being exhausting. With small groups and local guides, we'll take things slowly so you can relax and enjoy the magnificence all around.

After a thorough safety lesson, we begin with biking. If you get tired of peddling, let our electric bikes give you a little boost. This is the ideal method of transportation for southeastern Alaska. Simply enjoy the beautiful outdoors and let your bike do most of the work. You're on the road to nowhere and the bike path is paved and well maintained for easy riding. When the road ends, the trail begins.

Now it's time for a guided hike through a section of Alaskan rain forest that is as dense as it is beautiful. A calming stream will lead you to a rushing waterfall. Sit down and take in the views if you like. We're in no rush. After becoming one with nature, you may wish to never leave. On the return journey your guide has a surprise everyone will love--a secret spot along the Inside Passage where all you will hear is waves crashing on the beach.

After all that exercise, we're sure you've worked up an appetite. Don't worry, a traditional Alaskan picnic of smoked salmon awaits. Craft beers are available for purchase from the restaurant on site. Go ahead, indulge. After all, you're on vacation.

We'll return to the dock for a bit of a break before embarking on the kayaking portion of the tour. Your legs will get a rest as we climb into these stable kayaks for exploring the quiet, protected waters of Clover Pass. Inhabiting the water and surrounding islands you'll find a wide variety of inter-tidal life, seals, eagles, Pacific porpoises, Sitka deer, and even humpback and orca whales. While wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, the odds are pretty good and we do guarantee your guides will provide you with a memorable experience in this very special place.

Return feeling refreshed, refueled, and reconnected.

All our guides are local residents and are uniquely qualified to provide insight about their town and information about the wildlife and eco-system in which they live.
