SEA KAYAKING - CLOVER PASS

SEA KAYAKING - CLOVER PASS
ShoreTrips says...
This is a fun trip for people who are looking for a wilderness adventure away from the crowds. No kayaking experience is necessary for exploring the islands and wildlife of Southeast Alaska, just an adventurous spirit!
Head out of town to the quiet Clover Pass Marina, with calm waters, looming mountains and rainforest growth hugging the shoreline.
Your experienced guide will provide paddling instructions, if needed. But not to worry, these stable tandem sea kayaks are easy to handle, even for novice kayakers. As your kayak moves silently toward the protected waters of Clover Pass and surrounding islands, you'll find this area is home to a wide variety of inter-tidal life, seals, eagles, Pacific porpoises, Sitka deer, and sometimes humpback and orca whales. We’ll take a close-up look at some of the tidal pool inhabitants while we enjoy the other wildlife from whatever distance they choose.
Most of the guides are local Ketchikan residents and all are experienced, professional guide who are very passionate about sharing this beautiful place and its dense flora and fauna. The staff features a diverse background of Alaskan commercial fishing experience, dog sled guiding, snorkel guides and scuba divers. You will find their unique stories about living in southeast Alaska (almost) as memorable as the kayaking.
After this wonderful exploration, we're sure you've worked up an appetite. A traditional Alaskan picnic of smoked salmon awaits. Alaskan beers and other beverages are available for purchase from the on-site restaurant. Go ahead, you've earned it!
While wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, we do guarantee your guides will provide you with a memorable experience in this very special place.
