ShoreTrips says...
There is so much to do when traveling to Canada that it is difficult to find time for everything. Fortunately, Vancouver is a city that we could visit over and over again, and know that we will have a new experience each time.
On this tour, you'll get out and see some of the interesting areas south of the city. A 45-minute ride to Steveston Harbour will give you that opportunity. Upon arrival, you'll find experts in the fields of science and research who will take you out on the water. Depending on the season you have the choice of going out on an open or semi-covered zodiac style vessel.
This company uses the best equipment for this three-to five-hour trip. The length depends on sightings, as they always want to make this a success for their passengers. They will literally go the extra mile to find these sea creatures for you.
The most exciting part is finding the pod of Orcas and Humpback whales who are usually spotted feeding on salmon in the Fraser River system. You should also be successful in spotting some bow-riding Dall's porpoises, sea lions, bald eagles, seals, and more.
In the early spring, your focus will be on sea lions, seals, eagles, cormorants, herons, and other wildlife.
