CHERBOURG FRANCE

Cherbourg is a popular French port town with a fascinating seafaring history and a dramatic coastline. It has wonderful markets, a beautiful town square and many lush gardens and parks.  It is known for historical monuments and museums, particularly the Liberation Museum, dedicated to telling Cherbourg's story during World War II.  Cherbourg is also a great starting point for exploring the greater Normandy area.
