PORTO VENERE ITALY
An ancient town, Porto Venere dates back to the 1st century BC. Historically a fishing village, its harbor is surrounded by colorful multi-story homes, seemingly rising out of the water. This lovely town is also a great starting point for exploring the nearby cities of Lucca and Pisa. Lucca, known for its ancient walls, historic architecture and fine restaurants, is not to be missed. And a visit to Pisa would not be complete without...well, you know. You'll see that as well as the cathedral, the cemetery and other interesting places in the "Field of Miracles".
