After being picked up at the cruise ship or your hotel, you will make your way to the zip line location in the heart of the rainforest. This hour-long ride will give you a chance to see some of the breathtaking scenery St. Lucia has to offer.
Upon arrival, you will be given your equipment as well as a demonstration and safety briefing. Then the fun begins as you rocket your way through a series of 11 zip lines, about 50 feet off the ground, with the length ranging from 83 feet to an astonishing 495 feet. But not to worry, the system of integrated cables and rigging is carefully designed to deliver an adrenaline rush safely.
In between "zips", you will have a unique view of the forest and the birds and plants that inhabit it, so don't forget your camera!!
After the thrill of the zip lines, you will have some time to shop for souvenirs or purchase a snack before the ride back to your ship or hotel.

ST. LUCIA ... Tschohl |
My husband and I travelled with 4 of our young adult children the week of August 16th to 23rd, 2009. We have used Shoretrips in the past, and were really happy with the quality of the excursions. The cruise ship did not allow us to book excursions ahead of time for this trip, so we booked the majority of our trips with ShoreTrips. We have recommended Shoretrips to many people. We have always found the personalized service of the excursions to be great. We will definitely use Shoretrips again on future trips. Let me add that when we got onboard our ship, they changed the itinerary due to Tropical Storm Ana. I called Shoretrips and over the phone they switched everything so we could still get to all our excursions even though the port days were changed. A while later, the ship changed back the itinerary to the original itinerary, so I had to call Shoretrips again. Both times, Shoretrips was so wonderful over the phone, and all our excursions went without a hitch. Much easier than the long lines we had to wait in onboard ship to change the 2 excursions we had booked with them.
None of us had ever done this before...our kids were so excited, but I have a real fear of heights and wondered if I would be able to do it. There were 2 guides, just for the 6 of us. The equipment is put on carefully by the guides, one by one. We were not overly good looking in our hair nets, helmets and harnesses, but it is all for safety, and safety was made very much a strong part of the instruction and tour. There are 11 platforms in all, and after an instruction session at a mock platform where cables were attached so you could learn visually what you would be doing, we were off to the first platform. The rainforest is absolutely gorgeous. The different foliages and flowers are beautiful. Each platform provided a wonderful view of the rainforest canopy. At each platform, one of the guides would always go first, followed by each of us, then the other guide would come last. Its exhilarating to let go and allow yourself to just ride along the cables to the next platform. Very scary for me who had to keep my eyes closed quite when I first started. Note that there are some areas where you have to hike a bit between platforms, at some of them there were lots of stairs to climb, and 2 very narrow, wooden, suspended bridges with rope cables on the sides. You don't have to be in great shape, but if you aren't, you will definitely be winded after the climb. Our guides were wonderful about taking photos of us whenever the opportunity presented itself, so we got some great photos from this excursion which are wonderful memories for our kids. They were encouraging and patient to those of us who were a little unsure about what we were doing. They made the experience wonderful. We really had a great time! |

| We booked the zip-line tour in St. Lucia for New Years Day 2009. Response was prompt and friendly. Kristin offered her assistance in helping to make our trip memorable right from the start. I must admit we were a little apprehensive about booking a trip on-line without be familiar with the company. However, the experience was nothing short of outstanding. When we departed from the ship, a representative immediately greeted us and took us to our van where our last name was prominently placed on the dashboard, and our guide/driver Russell awaited. We traveled through St. Lucia and had an amazing tour learning about history and culture of St. Lucia. We stopped to taste a cocoa plant on the route. The zip-line tour itself was well organized, safe, and every person working there was polite and helpful. The tour was so much fun, even for those who were a little nervous. The trip back to the ship was again filled with stories about St. Lucia's history, and we stopped several times to take pictures. My husband and I honeymooned in St. Lucia 17 years ago, and we have seen an amazing transformation in the island, and its people. The zip-line tour through Shore Trips was just one example of the professionalism and outstanding service that was provided during out short stay in St. Lucia. We hope to to return to St. Lucia sometime before the next 17 years. |

| I just want to take a minute to express how much we enjoyed booking our excursions through ShoreTrips. Our zipline tour was magnificent! We had ziplined before and knew we'd love it, but the course in St Lucia was better than we ever dreamed. The staff was great, and one of them even grabbed our camera and took photos and video of the four of us. It was an unforgettable experience and we'd recommend it to anyone! We will definitely use ShoreTrips in the future and we will recommend it to everyone we know. Your prices are far better than those offered by the cruise lines, and the level of service is fantastic. In fact, my brother and his future wife have already been looking at your excursions for their honeymoon in July. Thank you so much for all of the help you provided to us. We truly appreciate it. |

| We have just returned from a Caribbean cruise during which we took one of your excursions - the zip wire in St Lucia. We had a fantastic time - the children voted it the best excursion ever. We were picked up at the dock by Felix - he was the best - an excellent, friendly and informative driver - we can't praise him enough. The zip wiring was well organised and special thanks go to Kirt for helping me do the last four wires. Would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you - the Firth family |

Just came back from our cruise and the Rainforest Canopy ZipLine Adventure in St. Lucia was one the best adventures that we have taken. The rainforest in St. Lucia is beautiful! It was a huge adrenaline rush for us! We were expecting 6 ziplines. When we arrived they had added more lines since we booked. There were a total of 11 ziplines and two rope bridges. Wow! Even so, we felt safe at all times. I must commend our guide, Chubby. He was the best! He made stops so we could take pictures and even stopped at a waterfall. He was very knowledgable of the history and the flora/fauna of the island. He knew when to arrive at the zipline location so as to avoid the cruise line crowds. I will definitely book with ShoreTrips for any future excursions. We got a better rate than the cruise line and much more personalized service! Thank you! One more thing...don't forget to have an ice cold Piton beer after you're done ziplining. You'll need it!
