These famous creatures have put other islands on the map. Now you can experience them in a new venue in Nassau. Stingrays grow up to 5 feet across and can be quite gentle. You will be in the water with them and able to stroke them as they pass. As bottom-feeders, they easily take food from your hand. These stingrays have been debobbed, a term meaning their stingers have been surgically (and painlessly, they promised) removed.

This experience is perfect for both hotel and cruise guests. The lovely beach allows you to enter slowly and, as it is shallow, you will always be able to stand and retain your balance. This venue seems like it was designed particularly for young children. Usually the action of the stingrays can surprise you, but here the shallow water allows children to sit on the sand and watch until they feel comfortable enough to enter the water.
These are happy animals and you will have snorkel gear which may allow you to see their smiles, as their mouths and nostrils are on the bottom side of their bodies. While you are within the enclosed area of the beach, your gear is included in the cost. You may visit with the stingrays as long as you wish.
You can visit the area where the babies are kept and also watch the trainers feed the stingrays en masse.
When the stingrays have finally exhausted you, you can enjoy the public beach area on the island. There is a grill if you are hungry or thirsty and lounge chairs are available for your use.
You may rent either a float mat for $15 or snorkel gear for regular beach snorkeling after your stingray experience for $10.

I can't say enough nice things about the trip. The people on the island were nice, friendly and informative. My mother, 2 kids (ages 6 & 8) and I had a great time. One of the main reasons we chose you over the stingray experience the cruise line offered is that my daughter was too young to go on theirs (min. age 8). After speaking with others on the cruise who had gone with the ship, I'm glad she was too young. Not only was their trip more expensive (about $75, I think) but there were about 150 people and they didn't get to spend as much time with the stingrays or feed them. I think it was the highlight of our trip.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!! This was one of the best things about our cruise. We decided to book with Shoretrips because they allowed children under 3 years old. Once the rest of the cruise ship crowd left, there were only a few people in the water with the stingrays. When we first arrived at Blackbeard's Cay, we hurried and scrambled to find a good beach spot with a little bit of shade. What a waste of time. We stayed in the water the entire time with the stingrays. The stingrays were so friendly. The kids were a little scared at first, but after a while of sitting on the very shallow part and having the stingrays swim up to you, they got used to it. We hated to leave, the water was so warm. I would recommend this excursion to everyone. Just remember to keep re-applying the sunscreen and bring a waterproof camera for great underwater pictures!

It was a nice trip and wonderful day that we had together. It was easy to find the group leader who escorted us to the nice roomy boat. But once we were there, the Island, the water habitat, and the bathroom facilities were all clean. The bathroom even had a rose flower arrangement that was real. The staff was very nice the stingrays were friendly and it was fun to feed them. As for snorkeling in the area there was neat stuff to look at, like old anchors, concreate treasure chest and artificial reef starters they look like big cannon balls with holes in them. Overall, I had a great experience with your company, the trip that was offered was of excellent standards.
