FISHING TRIP IN FINNISH GULF ARCHIPELAGO

FISHING TRIP IN FINNISH GULF ARCHIPELAGO
ShoreTrips says...
Between April and December, when the sea is open and ice-free, you'll go by boat to the best fishing spots. Our fisherman won the prize for the best fishing tourism product in Finland, so rest assured that you're in the best of hands and holding the best of rods!
This is not just a fishing trip, but it does cater to the most serious fishermen. It's also an exploration of the archipelago, which, in the opinion of many people, is the greatest treasure of the Finnish landscape.
Our fishermen specialize in organizing active spinning of wild sea-fish in the shelter of the archipelago. They'll organize lure fishing of pike-perch, salmon, and trout. Both novices and experienced fishermen can enjoy this tour as we'll tailor it to the interest of the visitors. The season and the weather will also determine the direction of the adventure. The boats are 6-7 meter long open boats and are not taken into the open sea.
Expect to find salmon in spring; seatrout in April, May, October, and December; and pike, pike-perch, and perch during the summer months.
For pike, we will use casting rods. Perch is caught by jigging and angling. Pike-perch is captured by a jig in the spring and a lure in the summer. You'll catch fish and our crew will gut the fish, if you wish to take them along, otherwise the fishing is catch-and-release.
Depending on time and weather, we may land on an island and build a fire. Regardless, you'll enjoy smoked fish salad, French bread, and white wine and warm coffee. Please let us know of any dietary needs in advance.
In warm weather, you may choose to take a swim during the lunch break. It's up to you. Some people are all about the fishing and others want to feel the adventure.
