WHALE AND DOLPHIN WATCHING WITH A MARINE BIOLOGIST - DECEMBER THROUGH FEBRUARY
ShoreTrips says...
Your knowledgeable guide will provide a wealth of information on whales and dolphins and other mammals, fish, and reptiles who inhabit these waters. Get into the wild to experience these spectacular sea creatures.
One of the most impressive experiences in nature is to witness firsthand the magnificence of humpback whales. You'll be amazed at the sight of these endangered creatures breaching, lobtailing, and flippering. We'll also listen for magical songs that are often part of their courting rituals.
On board, your captain will have a catalog of photographs of many whales that they see over and over again throughout the years. It's very likely that they will be able to point out a few old friends.
This tour offers you the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable encounter with these friendly giants who arrive in Banderas Bay to mate and give birth, year after year, during the winter months.
During the morning tour, we'll also keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins, spotted dolphins, rough toothed dolphins, giant mantas, and marine turtles,
We have a hydrophone on board so you'll have a chance to hear whale songs and dolphin
communication.
Our involvement in whale and dolphin research projects dates back to 1991 and, during the tour, we'll share this information with you and you'll have the opportunity to participate in our research.
