While this is our favorite suggestion for first timers, even repeat visitors will delight in this selection of Hong Kong's classic food and drinks.

After planning a trip the next step is scouring online articles to find the crème de la crème of local cuisine. The best cup of coffee, the best kept secret eatery. You don't have to worry because we've done the research for you and this selection of local establishments will provide a great introduction to Hong Kong cuisine.

Our tour centers the Central and Sheung Wan neighborhoods and each establishment has been selected not only for it's esteemed cuisine, but also the backstory to their conception and importance to local culture for several decades. Not only will you learn about the local cuisine, but also important historical figures and notable buildings. We will also pass Hong Kong's oldest remaining open market. Sadly the market has been selected for redevelopment.

Our first stop is a family run and award winning wonton noodle shop. Enjoy wontons, noodles, and broth - delicious in their effervescence. We will continue on to a roast meat restaurant that has been a local favorite for 30 years. Here you will enjoy roast meat, juicy and perfected by years of practice.

It's time to rejuvenate with a sample of refreshing juice. Your guide will explain how the flavors of the juice will enhance the other tastings. Time for a sweet treat with a stop to a preserved fruits specialty house. Learn about the various kinds and each of their benefits, of course the best way to decide your favorite is by taste.

Next up is a Chinese favorite - dim sum. Of all our stops, this is one we think you will return to. Our last stop is to a tiny bakery located on a side alley. This is a local favorite and we'll time our visit so you can enjoy a tart hot out of the oven.
