ShoreTrips says...
The melding of diverse peoples over the past 500 years is delightfully reflected in St. Lucia's cuisine. This experience will give you a mouthwatering and immersive introduction to all the wonderful flavors that make up Lucian food culture.
St. Lucia's location in the Eastern Caribbean chain makes for an extraordinary flavor palette. A combination of Creole with French and West Indian influences, this island's cuisine boasts specialties that feature fresh seafood like lobster and conch with a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables.
During colonial times, St. Lucia was inhabited by the Antillean Arawak, a tribe of agriculturalists that used tropical flavors and scents in medicine and cuisine. Their practices are still used in cooking and you'll get an insider's perspective from a local chef about how to use these practices to create beautiful and flavorful dishes.
Follow along as your chef teaches you how to prepare a traditional lunch or feel free to watch the process and still enjoy the meal after the class.
Following your culinary experience, explore a medicinal herb garden. You'll get the chance to stroll past a gorgeous variety of flowers and plants to end your experience on a relaxing and peaceful note.
