HOT SPRINGS AND COOL GLACIER
Vendor claims they meet CDC Compliant Guidelines
The excitement starts as soon as you are picked up. These guides are the real thing, true mountaineers! And it won't be long before you are in the Geysir Hot Spring area where its boiling mud pits and spouting hot springs are just the beginning of your intro to Iceland. We will stay long enough to watch a geyser spout and then head to Langjökull Glacier to board a snowmobile. This is your chance to test your skills on glaciers as you dash across Europe's second largest glacier with your machine.
Even in the summer months snow is present and water in abundance. Waterfalls are everywhere, from trickles down the mountain sides to wider, more visible falls. After your snowmobile experience, it's time for a little Icelandic lunch, something light and flavorful. Leaving one of our favorite spots satisfied, you will visit the small village of Flúðir where we will share a secret. Instead of the crowded and overproduced experience, we take you to a location that few visitors are aware of - the Secret Lagoon natural pool! The historical surroundings have been kept natural and simple for a unique and authentic experience. The pool is surrounded by several hot springs, among them a little geyser erupting every 10 minutes or so, providing the pool with fresh warm water, maintaining a temperature of 38-40 °C throughout the year. In the winter the northern lights can often be seen in the area and what better way to experience the lightshow than relaxing in the warm water surrounded by the steam from the earth?
OK - now you have had an exhilarating experience followed by a local lunch and then an easy dip in a hot springs. It sounds like a recipe for fun.
