THE CHURCHES OF ZADAR

THE CHURCHES OF ZADAR
ShoreTrips says...
With most hotel accommodations found just outside of Zadar, its old town remains well preserved. The perfect city to explore on foot!
With a population of around 70,000 residents one might wonder how a tour can be dedicated to 7 churches. How much history can there really be? Here at ShoreTrips we were asking ourselves that same question and we have found the perfect guides to demonstrate just how pivotal these landmarks are to Zadar's history. Each location will help you piece together the city's past by highlighting everything from their unique architecture to the political and religious implications that shaped society.
As you walk between these churches, you will enjoy the ocean views and catch a glimpse of the most interesting ice cream shops' displays anywhere!
By the end of the tour you will have a unique perspective of Zadar's past that runs deeper than the museums and galleries found in other locations throughout Croatia.
Many believe the Church of Saint Donat is the symbol of the city and when built in the Middle Ages it was famous throughout Croatia. Today, its timeless acoustic features make it a perfect home to incredible music performances.
