PRIVATE ANNAPOLIS VALLEY IMMERSION

PRIVATE ANNAPOLIS VALLEY IMMERSION
ShoreTrips says...
The Annapolis Valley is known for its rich farmland and, therefore, has some of the best growing areas in Canada. We'll journey to the heart of this farmland, between the North and South mountains.
Your day begins as you make your way toward Falmouth, the summer hunting and fishing grounds of the early natives. In the 1600s, the French Acadians started to move into this area and developed the fertile land into what it is today.
Not far from the shores of the Avon River is Sainte Famille Wines, a small family-owned vineyard and winery located on an original Acadian village site known as "La Paroisse Sainte-Famille De Pisiquit," which was first settled in 1685. This winery is strongly dedicated to the art of growing quality grapes and vinting them into elegant premium wines.
After a stop for lunch, we'll continue on to Gaspereau Winery, one of the younger wineries in the Annapolis Valley. Known as a boutique winery, it is set on the slopes of Gaspereau Valley and creates premium estate-grown and limited edition wines that reflect the care and passion of the owners.
After this wonderful tour through the Valley, you'll enjoy a comfortable ride back to Halifax.
