ShoreTrips says...

We combine two river experiences...one exciting and one VERY exciting.

This exhilarating journey, which begins below the entrance to Denali National Park, combines a scenic rafting trip with a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure.

We'll start out on the "McKinley Run"--a spectacular trip over Class II and III water through the most beautiful portion of the Nenana River. This is your chance to sit back and enjoy the rugged wilderness as you raft downstream 11 miles, keeping an eye out for moose, sheep, caribou, and bear along the way.

Following a brief break, in which you'll have time for a quick snack if you wish to bring one, we'll continue on with the "Canyon Run." This excursion is Class III to IV Whitewater for intermediate to advanced boaters. It includes medium-sized waves, fast current, and obstacles that need to be maneuvered around to large waves, very fast current, and difficult maneuvers. It is not for the faint of heart. However, if you are a first-time rafter, your expert guide is able to recognize the river's best line and direct the raft safely through the water.

Get into real whitewater rafting as you hang on through rapids such as "Cable Car," "Coffee Grinder," and "Ice Worm."

Throughout this adventure, you'll be led by a knowledgeable river rafting guide, and state-of-the-art gear will be available for your use.
