You'll have an unbelievable experience on this 36' boat that was built to accommodate up to 10 passengers. Amenities onboard this custom-designed boat include a heated galley with seating for your comfort and specially-designed internal tanks to hold your catch.

The focus of this trip, of course, is salmon fishing, and an 11' x 11' fishing cockpit area allows ample space for you to reel in the big one!

You'll also want to be sure and keep an eye out as you never know what you might see in the wilderness surrounding Ketchikan!

This boat, besides being a wonderful experience, is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know if you need that service.

• We suggest that you dress in layers and bring a camera, hat, and rain gear.
PLEASE NOTE: The King Salmon season for 2022 will open approximately June 15th. Prior to June 15th, you will be allowed to practice catch and release. Note, that at any time the Alaska Department of Fish and Game can change the policy and enforce catch and release of all King Salmon during the season.
• As an alternative to salmon fishing during the catch and release period, we suggest our PRIVATE CRAB CATCH IN KETCHIKAN - A REAL ALASKAN EXPERIENCE, https://www.shoretrips.com/excursion/region-pnw-ket-003091.
• Once the King Salmon season opens on June 15th, each guest will be allowed to keep only one fish.
• PLEASE NOTE: The Federal Government has placed new limits on halibut fishing this year and has limited it to 1 fish per person and no larger than 37 inches, making fish about 22 pounds or less for the largest keeper. If you fish for halibut, we will practice catch and release.
• Your departure time will be the same as your ship's arrival time. Your fishing captain will be waiting for you as you disembark if you dock at berths 1-4.
• Do note, for NCL passengers or those Ships arriving at the Ward Cove Dock, you must make your way to the Ketchikan Visitors Center. This transfer may take up to 1 hour in each direction. Your charter will start one hour after you arrive into Ketchikan.
• This tour is wheelchair accessible. You will be asked to provide this information during check-out.


• The boat holds up to 10 passengers, however, only 6 poles will be allowed in the water at a time.
• Fishing licenses: The cost of a 1-day fishing license is $15 per person (required for those 16 years and older). There is an additional $15 charge for the king salmon stamp. Licenses are required and may be purchased on board the fishing boat by cash only.
• Children under 16 do not have to purchase fishing licenses or King salmon stamps.
• If you wish to purchase a fishing license with a credit card you must do so in advance and must bring a hard copy of your fishing license on the boat with you. If you do not have a hard copy you, you WILL be required to buy a new license when you board.
• Trolling and using downriggers is the method of fishing in Southeast Alaska.
