Your journey begins right off the cruise ship when you're met by a local fisherman who will walk you straight to the marina. If you're staying at a hotel, your guide will meet you in the lobby. At the marina, you'll get outfitted in true Alaskan fashion as you throw on everything from a wool hat to rubber boots.

Once you're situated with the fishing essentials, you'll take a beautiful boat ride to a prime fishing location chosen by your experienced guide. Along the way, keep your eye on the shoreline to catch a glimpse of Alaska's unique wildlife.

After arriving at your handpicked spot, you'll experience fishing the way it's meant to be done--in an open air skiff. You'll be eating what you catch as you cast out for rockfish, salmon, and lingcod with your guide showing you the tricks of the trade along the way. Following the fishing expedition, you'll rendezvous at an isolated beach, where you'll be greeted by a warm fire underneath a canopy of old spruce trees.

While visiting the camp, feel free to explore the secluded shoreline or gather around the fire as you exchange stories from your day on the water. Here, you'll enjoy a fulfilling meal centered on your morning catch in a saffron-infused bouillabaisse. With golden potatoes and fire-baked fresh bread, your mouth will begin watering the moment you smell the fire. Be sure and save room for blueberry and rhubarb cobbler to be washed down with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate!

You'll return to the pier or your hotel with a full stomach and an experience that can only be found in Alaska!
