THERMAL MUD POOL WITH KAVA WELCOME CEREMONY

THERMAL MUD POOL WITH KAVA WELCOME CEREMONY
ShoreTrips says...
A traditional lei, a warm welcome, and entertainment by some of the local villagers are just the beginning of good things to come.
Step into the mud pool and let the slathering begin! The more you put on, the better you'll feel. Make sure to let the mud dry before slipping into the hot spring to wash it off, which, to your delight, you'll discover has left your skin feeling silky smooth. If you thought you couldn't feel any more relaxed, a 15-minute massage provided by experienced villagers will work out any kinks and leave you in a state of bliss.
Perhaps one of the most anticipated experiences of a visit to Fiji is the kava welcome ceremony. This important social and cultural event is both a welcoming gesture to visitors and, by the visitor, as a sign of respect and appreciation to their hosts. Kava, the "unofficial" drink of Fiji, is made from the crushed root of the yaqona and is known to bring about a relaxed, joyful feeling (as well as possibly some numbness around the mouth, lips, and tongue). Adopt a "when in Fiji" attitude and immerse yourself in this unique cultural tradition. We promise you will remember this experience with fondness long after you're returned home.
Your participation in this tour contributes to the support of the government and, in turn, benefits local Fijian communities. The Fijian people say “ vinaka vaka levu ” (thank you very much).
